Join Us for European Gambling Harm Awareness Week – September 21–25, 2026

The European Gambling Harm Prevention Network (EGHPN) is pleased to announce European Gambling Harm Awareness Week 2026, taking place from 21 to 25 September 2026.

This year's theme focuses on new and emerging forms of gambling, highlighting two rapidly evolving phenomena that are receiving increasing attention from researchers, policymakers, public health professionals, and gambling harm prevention organisations across Europe:

  • Prediction Markets

  • Crypto Gambling

These new gambling-like products are expanding rapidly, often operating across national borders and outside traditional gambling regulatory frameworks. As awareness and participation grow, it is important to better understand their potential risks and implications for gambling-related harm.

We need your help to amplify the message.

Throughout the week, the European Gambling Harm Prevention Network (EGHPN) will share daily content in English across social media platforms  on our Facebook account: EGHPN Facebook and on our LinkedIn account: EGHPN LinkedIn

The European Gambling Harm Prevention Network (EGHPN) was created for European NGOs working on preventing and reducing gambling-related harms at individual, communal and social levels.

We listen, learn, share, and advocate.

EGHPN envisions a world where people at risk from gambling harm get the best possible protection. A world where help is accessible for everyone in need. Networking gives NGOs the possibility to make an international impact on gambling policies and regulations.

The network does not take or accept money, sponsorship or other benefits from the gambling industry or any of its social aspects organizations. Each member NGO and private person is obliged to inform the network if they have any conflict of interests that should be disclosed. This principle means that all our events (including webinars) are meant for people working in the fields of gambling harm prevention, treatment, research, and regulation thus excluding people that work in the gambling industry (broadly speaking). We feel that there already are venues for all the actors in the field of gambling to come together and we reserve the right to have our events gambling industry free.

EGHPN brings NGOs around Europe together to share knowledge, ideas, experiences and perspectives.
