EGHPN EXECUTIVE BOARD

NETWORK INTRODUCTION

The European Gambling Harm Prevention Network (EGHPN) is a network for non-governmental organizations around Europe working on gambling harm prevention.

EGHPN brings NGOs around Europe together to share experiences, knowledge, ideas, and perspectives. Networking gives us the resources we need to make a national and an international impact on gambling policies and regulations.

At EGHPN we concentrate on prevention, treatment and counselling for people at risk from gambling harm including their families, significant others, relatives, and friends. We work at individual, communal, societal, and international levels.

POLICY & DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST

The network does not take or accept money, sponsorship or other benefits from the gambling industry or any of its social aspects organisations.

Each member NGO and private person is obliged to inform the network if they have any conflict of interests that should be disclosed.

In case of failure to disclose a conflict of interest, a membership in the network may be terminated by the decision of the executive board.

VISION

At EGHPN we vision a world where...

...gambling policies and practices reduce gambling related harms in the society.

...everybody is informed about the risks of gambling.

...people at risk from gambling harm get the best possible protection.

...help is accessible for everyone in need.

MISSION

We advocate gambling harm prevention and reduction through evidence-based strategies. We develop policies to prevent and reduce gambling related harm.

We keep a close eye on future trends and weak signals regarding gambling.

We give a voice to those affected by gambling harm.

We share our knowledge, experiences, best practices, and inform about new relevant research data.

We strive to get gambling harm prevention and reduction on the agenda of states, influential international organizations and NGOs.
